Greatest College Football Game I’ve Ever Watched…
Speechless. The greatest college football game of all time. There is nothing better than two mid-majors duking it out with EVERYTHING on the line. Think about it. What else does Nevada and Idaho live for? This is their national championship. Yea I know all of you are gonna say that the Auburn-Alabama game was ten times better, but I disagree. There’s an art to a mid-major classic. The fact that Nevada’s stadium fits on 29,000 people in the middle of nowhere in Reno makes it even better. Boise State was up 24-7 at halftime, but Nevada perfected their pistol offense to pull one of the greatest comebacks of all time. This is what college football is all about.

This is why college football is the best football there is. College football is “pure” (with the exception of all the media coverage lately) competition where amateur athletes duke it out with the hopes of a championship for the school and students they represent. On any given night exciting games just like this one can happen. I hate the BCS but understand its function and have been pulling relentlessly for Boise State to finish undefeated and have the opportunity to play in the national championship. I can honestly say that after watching this game a 26 yard failed field goal attempt changed history and dashed the hopes of Boise playing for a national championship. This game will forever be remembered in college football history and as you write about here came from a mid major school. I am disappointed with the result but excited to see the enthusiasm that has been generated in college sports by teams like Boise State, Nevada, and TCU.
