Knicks Won’t Go Anywhere With This Performance
What did I tell you about Cleveland? The Cavaliers might be the worst team in the past decade, but they know how to beat the Knicks! For some reason, the Cavs always step up their game against New York, but the Knicks played downright awful. In a game where Amare drops 31, Carmelo gets 27, and Billups has 20 with 8 assists, it’s has be a win. Our top players were on their “A” game, but the rest of the team decided not to bring their talents to Cleveland. I have to call myself out and admit that I didn’t think the Knicks would have this many problems on the boards. I knew it was going to be a struggle, but they are now the worst rebounding team in the league. Turiaf was better off cherry-picking than trying to attempt a board. And this was against a team who doesn’t even have a center!
Losing to the Cavaliers is frustrating, but the Knicks are going to have some bumps heading into the final stretch. Having practiced once since the blockbuster trade, the team needs to develop some chemistry. If you watched the Heat in the beginning of the season, they were flustered. Wade, LeBron, and Bosh didn’t know how to run an offense together. But after a month and a half, they figured it out. Now they’re one of the deadliest teams in the league. As Knicks fans, we need to have patience with this squad. Let’s have D’Antoni fix the rebounding situation and give Carmelo and Amare some time to blend the offense. “Game of the Year” – tomorrow night at 8pm on ESPN.
Here’s a little glimpse of the Knicks’ future for all of you:
