(CBSSports.com) When things aren’t getting done, that’s when the boss takes over. And that’s the case in New York as MSG chairman James Dolan has now involved himself in the Carmelo Anthony trade talks.  According to the New York Daily News, Dolan has direct negotiations with Nuggets owner Stan Kroenke regarding Anthony.  “I would think that at this point everyone is looking to take credit if Carmelo comes to New York,” a Knicks source tells the newspaper.

Never Come Back

Well you can kiss the Melo deal good-bye. Why does this happen to us?? Why does Dolan feel like he needs to get involved? You’re telling me the same guy who still wants Isiah Thomas back with the Knicks is going to try to get the Melo deal done? I’m not even going to get my hopes up anymore. Hell with this. I’ve seen Dolan crumble this once great franchise into pieces from signing unnecessary free agents and giving away first round draft picks like it’s his job. Now he’s about to kill a deal that could put the Knicks on the brink of a true championship contender. Sad day for Knicks fans. The Clippers come to the Garden tonight for a 7pm game.
