Belichick is Just Toying with the Jets
Rex Ryan – “This is about Bill Belichick versus Rex Ryan…There’s no question, it’s personal. It’s about him against myself. That’s what it’s going to come down to.”
Bill Belichick – “I might have a little quickness on him, he’s probably got a little more strength and power on me…I don’t think you’ll see either of us out there making any blocks, or tackles, or runs, throws or catches. At least you won’t see me doing that. It’s probably a good thing for our team.”
Why does Rex Ryan do this to the Jets? I know he loves to feed the media great sound bites to get everyone pumped for Sunday, but this is just flat out stupid. Now I understand that the main reason for him calling out Belichick for the 100th time this season is to get the media’s attention off Mark Sanchez. But this isn’t the way to do it. Belichick is a guy who feeds off these comments. When he hears his opponents run their mouths about him and his quarterback, Belichick just wants to beat them mercilessly and run up the score. The last time Rex Ryan talked to the media about the Patriots was the week before the Jets went to Foxboro early last month. Belichick’s response was an absolute pounding.
Now I got to admit, this is a great quote from Belichick. He just turns the entire situation into a complete joke. I personally love Bill Belichick’s coaching philosophy. He leads his team with a quiet, but powerful demeanor that has helped him gain the utmost respect from everyone in the league. He rarely speaks to the media about unnecessary topics and is one of the most intelligent individuals in the history of football. When he was with the Giants, he formed one of the greatest defenses of all-time. Plus, he was one of the main reasons why the GMen won their two Super Bowls in the late 80’s / early 90’s. Anyone who helps the Giants win Super Bowls will always be a 5BS legend. The only reason why I don’t like the Patriots are because of their fair-weather fan base. (Don’t get me wrong, some of my best friends are die-hard Pats fans, but there are plenty of Pats fan I know who don’t remember Ben Coates or Dave Meggett) With the exception of the fair-weatherness, I respect everything about the franchise.

The patriots are still 1 and 1 against the jets this year and people don’t understand that. The monday night game was the first time the patriots ran their new style of offense and the jets weren’t prepared for it. Rex Ryan won’t be beat twice by the new patriots offense just like he wouldn’t be beat y peyton manning again.

The Panthers will beat both of them next year.
