FUCK THE ENTIRE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA

Posted in Islanders on October 31, 2010 by EAST SIDE RYNO

Whoever is from Philly can go fuck themselves. Seriously. What are you good for in society? You guys win one fuckn championship in thirty years and you think your fuckn boss? The Eagles are a disgrace to football and the Flyers make me want to fuckn puke.  Yea I know the Isles played awful tonight. But seriously? With 2 minutes to go and up by five you pull this shit? I want Carcillo dead. And I pray to God that the Isles will win a cup before the Flyers. All the Isles need are a couple of years. Just hold off Philly and let them keep losing for a little while. Fuck the Phillies. Fuck the Eagles. Fuck the Flyers. Fuck Philly. You’re a fuckn embarrassment to this country. Maybe someday Philly will become a respected city. But until then, it will always be a smaller shittier version of New York. Suck it.

Knicks are Over .500…Cherish It While It Lasts

Posted in Knicks on October 28, 2010 by EAST SIDE RYNO

So the Knicks last night won their first game of the season. I honestly can’t remember the last time the Knicks were over .500. Even though it was against the shitty Toronto Raptors, a win is still a win, especially when it’s on the road. Stoudemire looked solid in his debut with 19 and 12. The big surprise of the night was Wilson Chandler playing like an all-star. The dude came off the bench and dropped a solid 22. So let’s all celebrate the Knicks’ winning record for the day because the weekend doesn’t look pretty. The Knicks travel to Boston Friday then take on Portland at home on Saturday. Fuck…

GMen Continue To Kill Quarterbacks. Who’s next?

Posted in Giants on October 27, 2010 by EAST SIDE RYNO

Matt Moore, Jay Cutler, Todd Collins, Shaun Hill, and Tony Romo. How many more quarterbacks will die against the Giants by the end of the season? This defense is on pace to injure 11 quarterbacks by week 17. You kiddin’ me? This has got to be the scariest defense in the league. After the Monday night game against Dallas, I read this quote from Michael Boley:

“When he hit the ground I heard him let out a little scream so I kind of knew something was up,” Boley said. “I thought it was just a normal hit. Then after I got up and started running I looked back after the play was over and he was still down.”

This is stuff we used to hear in the 80’s with Taylor, Banks, Carson, and Pepper Johnson. Finally, the reputation is back. And I have to admit, I’m feeling a lot better about this 5-2 Giants team than last year’s 5-2 squad. When the defense is happy, the Giants are almost unstoppable. Last year, with all the problems with Osi and defensive coordinator Bill Sheridan not gaining the respect from his players, the team was in complete disarray. Now with Perry Fewell, the Giants look as sharp as they did in 2007.

However, there are some things they need to fix. First of all, five turnovers?! Gotta fix that. No matter how good you are in this league, you’re not going to win many games with five turnovers. Second, the defense can’t become complacent. The Cowboys were one onside kick away from making it a ballgame. You can’t allow a team to have that chance when you have 31 unanswered points.

In the NFL, you never want to peak too early in the season. Teams always adjust and find ways to beat you (unless you’re the ’72 Dolphins or ’07 Pats). So for the Giants, I think it’s good that they’re not playing perfect football. Make adjustments and play your strongest football in the second half of the season.

1st in the Eastern Conference- BOOM!

Posted in Islanders on October 22, 2010 by EAST SIDE RYNO

So after playing seven games into the season, the Islanders find themselves on top of the Eastern Conference. With the injuries of Mark Streit, Kyle Okposo, and Josh Bailey, I never would’ve thought the Isles would even have two wins this month. Are the Isles being outplayed every game? Yes. But they’ve figured out a way to win. Maybe this shows that they are gritty enough to keep this success going. Next game is tomorrow vs. Florida.

The Isles are on top of the Atlantic Division. I know it’s early, but just sayin’.

R.I.P. Freddy Sez

Freddy Sez – the heart of Yankee Stadium (and Fordham basketball.) Freddy was at EVERY SINGLE YANKEE GAME. With his pan, spoon, and bad ass signs, he walked around the stadium and let people hit the pan as hard as they can. He brought the stadium together. I don’t even know how long he’s been going to Yankee games, but I’m gonna guess that he saw Babe Ruth play.

Btw- George, Bob and now Freddy?!?! The Yanks are turning into the Kennedy’s.

Did I Call This One or What?

What did I say two months ago? For those who don’t remember, check out the Desean Jackson article from August. The possession before this hit, Jackson scored and once again celebrated in the end zone like a douche. Like I said, it was only a matter of time until a defensive back was going to take him out. Jackson is lucky he’s only out for two weeks. Maybe this will humble the little fucker. But if Desean comes back and pulls the same JV shit like he’s done his entire career, the next hard hit will be worse.
