Previewing the New York Giants’ 2010 Season

As we get ready for the start of the Giants’ season next week against Carolina, I have been trying to get a sense of how the Giants will pan out for the next four months. To be honest, I have no idea how the GMen will be this year. The year they won the Super Bowl two seasons ago, I thought they sucked coming into that season. In 2008, I thought Big Blue was going to repeat. They ended up losing in the Divisional Round. So for this season, I will not make a prediction. I’m just going to have no expectations and watch how the season pans out.

I do have a couple of concerns though. First, our offensive line is banged up miserably. Chris Snee, Shaun O’Hara and Rich Seubert have all been nursing injuries throughout training camp. In the three preseason games, the starting offensive line have yet to take a snap all together. When three of the five offensive linemen are injured, it never looks good for the offense. The running game last season was sub-par, so in order to have a Brandon Jacobs revival, there must be protection. On a more positive note, the wide receiver core looks phenomenal. Hakeem Nicks should have a breakout year while Steve Smith looks like he’s ready for another Pro Bowl appearance.

As for the defense, it seems that the D-Line has rejuvenated. Hearing Justin Tuck speak positively about training camp, it looks like Osi has his head on straight and rookie Jason Pierre-Paul is making some noise. The linebacker core seems a little suspect. With Pierce gone, Jonathan Goff has to be a stud at MLB. The veteran Keith Bullock won the starting job over Clint Sintim and must show the Giants that he still has some fire left in the tank.

So get fuck’n ready. September 12 – NY Giants vs. Carolina 1pm. Football season is fuck’n here!!!! GET READY!!!!!!
