Yankees Begin A.D. Era

Now that Damon has signed with the Tigers for 1 year/8 mill, the Yankees will now start their “After Damon” era. Overall, having Johnny in New York was a success. Out of the four seasons with Damon, the Yankees made the playoffs three times with one championship. He was able to loosen the team morale during season full of overwhelming pressure. Last season, with the help of Swish, the Yankees were so loose they actually looked like they were having fun. Even with the short porch in right, Damon provided power and speed to the lineup. Does he have the worst arm in the Bigs? Perhaps. But taking everything into consideration, he helped out this franchise immensely. If it wasn’t for Matsui’s monstrous Game 6 in the World Series, Damon could’ve won the WS MVP. His double steal in Game 4 will go down as one of the best plays in Yankees World Series history. Good luck in Motown my man!!!!

This is the New School trade – Damon for Granderson. I’m definitely good with that deal. Though I’ll miss JD, he knows what it takes to win – hopefully Curtis does too.
