Knicks Trade Nate Robinson to Celtics for Eddie House

(Daily News): A deal that would send Nate Robinson to Boston is close to be finalized and could be announced Wednesday afternoon, according to multiple league sources. The Daily News first reported on its Web site Tuesday night that the Knicks were on the verge of sending the back up guard to the Celtics. Eddie House, who played for Mike D’Antoni in Phoenix and has an expiring contract, is expected to be sent to the Knicks.

Did not see this coming. Even though Nate was our slam dunk champion, I believe this is a good trade. He’s not a team players and doesn’t work well in D’Antoni’s offense. Eddie House is a physical player who we can get a spark from off the bench. He’s a good defensive player with great basketball instincts. On paper, this seems to be a trade that’s completely lopsided favoring the Celtics. But I believe House would be a good fit for the Knicks. Let’s see what happens.

I don’t want a midget playing shooting guard for my basketball team… David Stern, if you know whats good for you, you will disallow this trade citing potential bruising and breaking of your bones as the reason

  2. dumb trade first of all..everyone knows nate robinson would not be the backup guard on the knicks to begin with. Nate robinson is a top dog “all star” that put points on the board and people in the stands. If the knicks think they will do better with eddie house good for them, but the celtics picked up an excellent trade and will make them better like they used to be

  3. trade is already done. nate is an outstanding player, but he’s a turnover machine. there are a lot of times where he just doesn’t think when he’s on the court and D’Antoni is fed up with it. Eddie House played with D’Antoni back in Phoenix so at least he knows who he’s getting. The Knicks wouldn’t have done this trade if D’Antoni didn’t think Eddie is a good fit for this franchise.

The Celtics are near the worst in the league in turnovers as it is… great, we just added 3-4 a game with nate robinson… hello first round exit unless the Boston’s savior, Rajon Rondo, can up his game and stop getting caught in the paint with nowhere to go…
