Olympics Coming Anytime Soon?

So now it’s six losses in a row…and counting. Once again, another no-show by the Isles- this time in Tampa Bay. There really isn’t much to say. They looked the same as they did the previous five losses- poor puck-handling, no attack by the front line, lazy goaltending. All I can wish for now is the Olympic break to happen RIGHT NOW, but it’s not happening for another week and a half. In order for the Isles to stay in contention, they MUST turn things around before the break.

Coming into this season, the Isles were supposed to play like this. But in the fall, the team gave us hope. Tavares was on fire, Roloson was playing like a top-notch goaltender, and Moulson was the biggest surprise of the NHL. In the past two weeks, the team has unfortunately come back to earth. Tavares is taking his rookie lumps, DP is still coming back from his injury, and the defense is completely depleted. Hopefully, this upcoming homestand is what this young team needs. The Isles play tomorrow night against Carolina at 7pm at the Coliseum.
